Out of season, Beneath the Baobabs has a quieter, more laid-back feel. It’s a simple place to base yourself in Kilifi — with space to move, fresh air, and plenty of nature surrounding you.
At the heart of it all is The Twisted Fig, our on-site restaurant serving fresh, seasonal food. Twisted Fig is open Wednesday - Sunday from Midday. Opening hours may vary during large events.
A long lunch, or a relaxed dinner in the evening, it’s all a short walk from your door.
A good option if you want somewhere easy to stay, with a bit of character, and the freedom to do as much or as little as you like.
Baobab Cottages
Set among the trees and coastal landscape of Beneath the Baobabs, our two self-catering cottages offer a peaceful, private stay designed for slowing down.
They’re designed to be simple and reliable — a place to settle in, get a good night’s sleep, and enjoy some privacy during your stay.
Each cottage has a shaded veranda out front — an easy spot to sit, have a drink, read, or just take a break.
