SITO RENO
A true multi-instrumentalist, Sito crafts his music through a combination of singing and playing various instruments, each adding its unique flavor to the melodic tapestry he weaves.
What sets Sito’s live concerts apart is his innovative use of a loop station, allowing him to layer sounds and create intricate, multi-dimensional compositions in real-time.
The result is a spellbinding and immersive experience that transports audiences on a groovy spiritual journey, embracing the essence of different cultures while remaining firmly grounded in the spirit of Mother Nature.
For Sito, music is more than just an art form – it is a universal language, a healing force that transcends boundaries and unites people from all walks of life.
He firmly believes that music and singing are as fundamental to the human experience as breathing and talking, serving as a powerful medium for connection and understanding.
ZAITUNI WAMBUI
Zaituni Wambui the pioneer of Urban Taarab is a female singer/songwriter a live
performing artist and a Tusker Nexters finalist 2022 based in Nairobi.She started
singing at an early age, with diverse influences ranging from Bi Malika, Beyonce and Sanaipei Tande.
Her sound has evolved over the years leading to a unique blend of contemporary-urbansound featuring Taarab and traditional African Rhythms. Zaituni Wambui burst onthe scene with her debut track “Utaweza” in 2020 and later she released a heart soothing song called “Ananipenda” A fan favourite. She went on to participated in the Tusker Nexters competition where she came 2nd with a captivating performance at Oktoberfest. She has continued to release more songs,Champe featuring Tk Lyon , Lexxi and Nadia mukami, Nipende.
And her recent release Tamu off her upcoming project “labour of love”.
LAVOSTI
Lavosti is a reggae artist from Kenya.He sings music that inspires gives hope and derives his inspiration from African music and reggae music is one of the the vehicles that he uses to inspire and teach and reach people through instruments and music I’m so honored to be singing at the kisima festival.
