MR BADO | KE
A Kilifi legend from a musical family, Mr Bado comes from a long line of artists who have been singing and performing Mijikenda dance and music for generations. He is heavily influenced by his father’s Mwanzele performances as well as by Taarab and Chakacha music and rhythms. He is well-loved all over the coast for hits such as “Shemeji” and “Susumila”.
Aside from having performed at Safaricom Live and the SmithsonianFolklife Festival, Mr Bado regularly headlines Mwanzele nights all over Kilifi and has everyone dancing to the hypnotic rhythms until the wee hours. Experience an immersive taste of Mijikenda groove this April!
