Ayrosh is a Kenyan based Folk and Fusion singer songwriter. He has created records in his vernacular language – Gikuyu in addition to English and Kiswahili, and is known for his eclectic performances and for setting up his own event, also known as Folk Fusion Nairobi
Ayrosh is best known for his futuristic approach to Mugithi (a local genre derived from Benga.) Dubbed the New Age Mugithi sensation, the singer also puts on an event called Folk Fusion Mugithi. Here, alongside other folk musicians, Ayrosh revisits old classics, fusing them with popular genres. He is proud to have graced numerous stages in Nairobi, including, Africa nouveau, story moja, slam Africa among others.
